Is Santa Claus real? Please be honest.?

Well obvisouly, I'm a kid since im asking this. I'm 11. I know I'm not allowed to have an account, but I mean really? No one listens!(: Anyway, I beleive in Santa, but about all the things people say, I have NO idea what to beleive anymore. So, if you could tell me honestly, that'd be cool :D Oh yeah, and if you could also tell me the story or the beginning of how Santa Claus started, even better :D
