Considering adoption but wondering about a different nationality?
My husband and I are strongly considering adoption. We have been praying fervently about it. We do not have any kids of our own yet, but would like to in the future. We have been married four years and we are in our twenties. We have a heart to adopt a girl from china. One day last week we were just talking about the whole adoption idea. We began to discuss what the child's life would be like for her being raised by two white parents. So my question is who would she date, a Chinese man or a white man? I am not racist, but I do believe in preserving different races. So should I not be considering adopting a different nationality? I know of so many people who have successfully adopted kids from china, like Steven Curtis Chapman. And when we have kids of our own, would they bring home a black, Chinese, or Spanish person saying "well you let your other daughter do it." Does my question make sense? I also want to know what would be fair for the child, what is right for her?
