What does this have to do with Christmas?

Way back before Jesus, on the winter solstice, the pagans would decorate a tree with candles and ornaments as a celebration for the solstice. We Christians did the same, because when Christianity started to spread we decorated a tree in hopes of turning the holiday into a christian one.
