What's your first response when you hear this name? could there be an exception for this name?

the name is Ellery, now yes i know of the origin, and what not. but with out googling the name Ellery would you imagine this name on a girl or a boy? i don't want this to be a big debate about uni names. Would i name my child this probably not. And for the people that dislike uni names, do you not realise that both Hilary and Kelsey are Technically uni names as well? i thought i would just mention that, if you make a big deal about the whole uni names thing .
